Sweden has a long tradition in photography. Mainly in the field of photo journalism but also as an art form. The passion and dedication of internationally acknowledged Swedish art photographers as Christer Strömholm and Anders Petersen have inspired generations of upcoming photographers. Artists who have found many different ways of expressing themselves through the photographic picture.

For an art photographer in a fairly small country as Sweden it is essential to reach an international audience. Not only when it comes to the career as such but also to get vital inspiration and feedback on their work.

By establishing the gallery Swedish Photography in Berlin we want to give the many interesting art photographers of Sweden a showroom in a city with one of the most exciting art scenes in the world.

With 5-6 exhibitions a year together with artist talks, book releases and other events we invite you to discover not only internationally established artists, but also quite a few new shining stars who deserve to meet an interested and curious audience. And we believe that it can be found here in Berlin.
