Unlike Gallery was founded in September 2010 by the Berlin Unlike team, who are also the creators of the berlin.unlike website, ‘the definitive city guide for the mobile generation’. Unlike Gallery kicked off with an exhibition of new paintings by Bristol born artist Steff Plaetz, one of the original members of the ‘Scrawl Collective’, a style characterised by incorporating rough sketchbook drawing in finished pieces of art.

New creative forms are continuously brewing in the window-lined confines of the oblong Unlike Gallery space, welcoming and fostering international contemporary art in a range of different mediums. The gallery is conveniently situated on Chausseestrasse in Mitte, not far from other art institutions such as the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum for Contemporary Art and the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (NBK).
