In January 2012 the ZHONG GALLERY opened to the public in the German capital. It is not the first gallery for contemporary Chinese art in Europe, however it is the first to be founded by Chinese gallery owners. The ZHONG GALLERY is located in the famous gallery district of Berlin-Mitte, close to the Museumsinsel (Museum Island).

The ZHONG GALLERY is committed to promoting all categories of contemporary Chinese art, presenting a diverse range of art forms such as painting, photography, installations, sculptures, performance art and video etc. to the international art market.

We exhibit and support young contemporary artists from the People’s Republic of China, creating a platform for the exchange of artistic ideas between Europe and China. Our goal is to raise awareness and influence the reception of Chinese art on the international art market, while simultaneously supporting young European artists attempting to gain a foothold in the Chinese art market by providing them with the opportunity to exhibit in China. Consequently, the ZHONG GALLERY will function as a bridge for the cultural exchange of contemporary art between China and Europe.

We work together with a team of German-Chinese specialists and aim to actively develop new models of contemporary Chinese art, promoting an international dialog between young Chinese and European artists. We present art lovers and collectors with the latest developments in contemporary Chinese and European art within the context in which they are created.
