Showcasing painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography and video, loop-raum für aktuelle kunst has asserted itself as a unique supportive platform for emerging art of the next generation. As one of the trailblazers of Berlin's international art scene, loop-raum für aktuelle kunst continues to embody the vibrancy and creative potential of reunified Berlin. loop-raum für aktuelle kunst was founded as an independent art project in the Edison courtyards, Schlegelstrasse, Berlin-Mitte in the autumn of 1997. Since then, it has asserted itself as a unique place in the capital's art scene as a supportive platform for young Berlin art: as a pioneer in Berlin's Project Culture and founder of the art fair Preview Berlin. Now, after 10 years of exhibiting extensively in and around Berlin, loop- raum für aktuelle kunst returns to its roots in the city's historical center with its new incarnation as a large gallery space.
