The first exhibition in the world focusing on the intersection of art and technology through the Internet of Things. Funded by the European Commission, as part of the economic development EU program Horizon 2020, it will be held in Berlin from the 12th to the 13th of July 2017, with an opening on the 11th.
Adaptation is an interactive art installation for which artists, paired with tech companies, have created work about the Internet of Things, its possibilities and how they will impact our future.
Working in four different categories, Environment + Data, Quantified Self, Interactive Spaces and Smart Cities, which reflect important tendencies within IoT, they have created installations which will allow the public to see and interact with data obtained from the environment, the spectators themselves or the internet.
The exhibition will be held in CRCLR, an experimental center for sustainable and artistic practices in the heart of Neukölln. The opening will take place on the 11th and the exhibition will run until the 13th as a satellite event with Tech Open Air, a yearly festival held in Berlin of around ideas of tech, music, art and science.
