The series Rougir (to redden) is a work in progress, which has grown each year since 2005. By combining motifs that are simple, dramatic, and sometimes comical, it captures the freedom of drawing in a sketch book. The series currently consists of 62 silkscreen prints in a matte red color that is otherwise impossible to obtain, and which lends great formal significance to the white of the paper. Two new, large-scale works from Rougir have been editioned on the occasion of this exhibition.
