Die Ausstellung lässt den Betrachter der Differenz, die zwischen Natur und inszenierter Landschaft liegt, gewahr werden. Sie zeigt die Natürlichkeit, Domestizierung und Regulierung von Szenerien und weist auf die Problematik der Vermittelbarkeit von Natur hin. Die Rede von der Natur ist heute problematisch geworden – von einer vorauszusetzenden Natur kann oft nicht mehr gesprochen werden, vielmehr wie sie durch eine zweite, perfektere ersetzt wurde.
Als natürlich verstehen wir etwas das in seiner Fortentwicklung und Reproduktion durch sich selbst bestimmt ist, während technisch dasjenige existierende ist, das seine Entstehung, Organisation und sein Entwicklungs- prinzip vom Menschen hat. Der Begriff des Naturobjekts fungiert somit als Gegensatz zu einem Kunstprodukt, einem vom Mensch geschaffenen Artefakt, aber auch als Gegenbegriff zu gedanklichen Konstrukten und fiktiven Objekten.

The exhibition explores the difference between nature and staged landscape. It shows the naturalness, domestication and regulation of sceneries and points to the problem of mediated nature. The concept of nature has become problematic – it is often impossible to speak of a presupposed nature, rather how it has been replaced by a second, more perfect one. Nature is the model from which human art and technology is derived as an imitation.
As natural we understand something that is self-determined in its evolution and reproduction, while technology derives its origins, organization and developmental of the principle of man. The concept of natural objects thus functions as a contrast to an artifact created by man, but also as a counter-concept to mental constructs and fictitious objects.
