"Drawing is for me a form of thinking and exploring, a trip on the paper, where you never know where it leads,“ says Nanne Meyer about her work.
Born in Hamburg, Meyer lives and works in Berlin. She decided from the beginning to dedicated herself to the medium of drawing and often uses found materials to draw on them. She also works with collage and manufactures artists' books.
Nanne Meyer hat won the Artist Women North Rhine-Westphalia Award for drawing (2013), followed by the exhibition "Thirty-five years drawing“ at the Museum Goch. In November 2014 she was awarded the prestigious Hannah-Höch Preis from the city of Berlin wich comes with a solo exhibition at the Berlin Kupferstichkabinett, Museum for drawings and prints; "Nothing but the moment“ runs until February 15, 2015.
