In May 2012, he took the responsibility for all natural
disasters in the past 2000 years. Him alone, without
hesitating.
Milan Mijalkovic, architect, artist and author, stated to
bear this enormous burden during his performance in
Vienna. Apparently, that was not enough. Half a year
later, he continues to negotiate responsibilities in Berlin.
At the showroom “Atelierhof Kreuzberg” the visitors will
become witnesses. It is Cyril, the Patriarch of Moscow
and of whole Russia, who we will encounter. As a father?
As a victim? As a symbol?
The combination of pathos and subtle irony makes
Mijalkovic`s art ambiguous and limitless. Collective forces
are glorified and entirely exposed - be it constellations of
power, radical ideas and movements, or simply us, the
people, women, men, patriarchs. We all become the
target, we are all (not) guilty. He alone bears the
responsibility. In Berlin. At the Atelierhof Kreuzberg.
