Kunstdetektor Atelierrundgänge zur Gegenwartskunst 2016
Immer noch ist ein Atelierbesuch etwas ganz Besonderes. Man betritt einen Raum, in dem Kunst entsteht. Man gewinnt Einblick in die Arbeit des Künstlers, sieht fertige und im Entstehen begriffene Werke, kann die so unterschiedlichen Haltungen, Stile und Produktionsweisen, die die Kunst heute ausmachen, ganz persönlich erleben. Man spürt die materielle Basis, die in die Kunst einfließt. Groß oder klein, neben der Küche oder im weiträumigen Loft: Die Ateliers, die Arbeitsräume sind so vielfältig wie die Kunst.
Für den Rundgang durch einige Charlottenburger Ateliers öffnen die Künstler ihren Raum und sich selbst. Der Kunstdetektor 2016 (von detektor = Offenbarer) legt den Facettenreichtum des künstlerischen Arbeitens in diesem Berliner Stadtteil offen. Wie sieht sie aus, die Arbeitswelt der Künstler? Ist das Atelier noch der geheime, der unabdingbare Ort der Inspiration, the place where the magic happens?

Artdetector Contemporary Art Studio Tours 2016
A studio visit is very special. One walks into a room, where art originates. One gains insight into the artist’s work, sees finished and nascent works, is able to personally experience the different attitudes, styles and methods of production that make up the art today. You can feel the material base that flows into the art. Large or small, next to the kitchen or in a huge loft: the studios, the workspaces are as diverse as the art.

For the tour of some Charlottenburg studios, the artists open their room and themselves. The Artdetector 2016 (from detector =revelator) reveals the rich diversity of artistic work in this district of Berlin. What is it like, the artist’s working environment? Is the studio still the secret, the essential place of inspiration, the place where the magic happens?
