We are pleased to invite you to the artist talk with Christoph Both-Asmus and Clement Loisel, about the group exhibition RESIST / RESTART curated by Mit Borrás in Vesselroom Project, on the 12th of February at 7p.m.

“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach. I wanted to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms.”
Henry David Thoreau. Walden. 1854

In relation to the work of Thoreau, Mit Borrás (E), curates an exhibition together with 4 other artists, Christoph Both-Asmus (D), Skugga Guðlaugsdóttir (IS), Rachel Lamot (E) and Clement Loisel (F), and proposes a reconsideration to the foundations of a society and an imposed model. RESIST / RESTART talks about renunciation as a dignified action and could be interpreted as reflection on disobedience against dynamic events. The five artists walk between the analysis and rejection of the old socio-cultural paradigms, such as efficiency, welfare, stability and modernity.
