Spatial Structures at The Wye on Berlin Art Grid

Opening Spatial Structures

Artists: jenny keuster

For the inaugural exhibition of the WYE PLATFORM Gallery, Jenny Keuter will present new work alongside prints from her personal archive.
Keuter’s site specific installation, prints, and sculptural work engage with notions of spatial representation and non visual communication. Stripping isometric renderings of organic and imagined forms down to their geometric core, Keuter offers visceral encounters with drawing in real space.
The angular simplicity of the densely layered abstract images presents as a kind of signifier, a visual language that evokes the mathematical logic at the core of life itself, as well as the aestheticized representation of life as art given form by way of line, colour, shape and texture.
Harkening back to the abstract minimalism of Sol Lewitt, Esther Stocker, and Fred Sandback, Keuter breathes new life into early modernist art historical forms through an innovative use of texture, colour and material.
