In times of 4k, pixel-peeping and ultra-realistic images, li-no-no-no is looking for a contrast to realism and HD-madness.
His blurred figures appear and and disappear again and the lack of definition in the images only gives hints, creates shapes and images as well as mood and feelings. Different images merge to one single piece.
His aim is not to mirror realism in all it’s detail, but to capture scenarios with their own unrealistic magic.
Human characters, if at all, only appear in ghost-like figures and are not the motive, but only requisites for the final picture.
Through a certain constant with pinch of chance, he creates dreamlike and atmospheric images that want to be neither sharp nor ordinary.
