The Vanishing Lady at Klemm's on Berlin Art Grid

Opening The Vanishing Lady

Artists: emilié pitoiset
Genres: contemporary

Is it a magic trick? When roads, passages and corridors are congested by men with bowler hats and tweed jackets, all agglutinated in small grapes and exchanging noisily with the fervor of soldiers back from the war, laughing in canon it is in front of an already evaporated silhouette protected by glass. We are at the end of the nineteenth century and Lyman Frank Baum, the beloved author of The wonderful wizard of Oz, is inventing The Vanishing Lady. A model of bones and flesh is appearing and reappearing with constantly renewed outfits in a window's display. Bound. Generate disruption, displacements and attract the eyes, push the on-looker to look again. Look again. Window-dresser is an art, not a fallacious art.
