Between late 2012 and early 2013, Irdaas created this photographic project based on a collection of photos taken between 2009 and 2013 in Barcelona, Brussels and Compostela, illustrating the echo of her own perception of these cities.
Although photography is often considered an art in itself sufficient, Irdaas proposes a set of 12 books excerpts, lyrics and quotes that go along with each photo and illustrate her vision of the cities.
And even if this association seems a bit inseparable for her as the author of the images, photography remains unfinished, which opens the door to imagination, feelings, regret or hankering and, ultimately, inviting the viewer to re-live the images.
Urban Visions will also feature a live musical performance by the Brussels-based DJ Bambooh of mainly of mainly trip-hop, indie, slow core and new-wave music.
