Berlin based publishing house Verbrecher Verlag recently edited a collection of stories written by Aras Ören – Kopfstand (Headstand). Aras Ören, who has lived in Berlin since 1969, is not only one of the most important contemporary Turkish writers: With more than 30 books – poems, novels, and stories – published in German he also played a vital role in the German literary scene over decades. German painter and drawing artist Wolfgang Neumann, whom our gallery represents since 2009, illustrated Aras Ören's stories with 48 coloured pencil and pencil drawings, all on view in our exhibition. With Kopfstand, exhibition and book release, we celebrate the 75th birthday of Aras Ören, member of the Academy of Arts, Berlin.
