A PHOTOGRAPH: Daniel Gustav Cramer, Jenny Ekholm, Philomene Pirecki, Olve Sande at 401contemporary on Berlin Art Grid

A Photograph? - The night draws in and there is a strange occurrence. Black objects oscillate between and within themselves recording the scene. The senses are moving, reaching out and pulling in as they distribute the event from outside to inside and back again. There is a trembling between object and thought, surface and emotion. What remains is the mark of the artist, a documented surface and a printed page.

A PHOTOGRAPH is a conceptual exhibition exploring the language of photography through the presentation of objects and installation. The gallery space could be considered a photograph in the moment of exposure; the objects placed influence the room, the edge of the picture is blurred. The idea of the frame, narrative, the cinematic, photo-black and the document could perhaps come to light by collating these elements and serve as an invitation into the fabric of photography.
