''New Atlantis'' is destroyed: In her latest body of work, Jenny Michel is concerned with the destructive potential of utopias. Leftover scraps from the creation of earlier works are combined with circuit diagrams and industrial materials and transformed into multi-layered textual pieces and delicate sculptures. Through subtle layering, the artist explores the endless accumulation of knowledge in contemporary society, weaving dense and instantly captivating webs of thought from a wealth of utopian literature.
