Povilas Ramanauskas’ (b. 1987) solo exhibition Behind the Horizon strives to create the mesmerizing mood of existence behind the horizon. The audience is invited to visit and investigate the sensual and spatial appearance of this imaginary place. The artist’s main practice evolves contemporary painting which varies between a range of traditional and current interpretation. As he extends his toolbar across a range of other media, he arrives at room-filling installations settled between minimalistic aesthetics and expressive conceptual focal points.
