The young German artist takes an interest in things from past times which remain significant. This is associated with the hope that these things continue to exist in her paintings and remain comprehensible when the circle of life has closed upon itself and outlasts her own generation.
The different characters in her recent works mirror the different aspects of our dependence on nature. Unique reflections of the past, the present, and the future are connected and crafted into paintings and sculptures. Wanda Stang describes the fundamental conditions and terms of being human and includes natural life cycles, recurring patterns, and symbols, as well as processes such as self-awareness, empathy, and tolerance.
