Das im Oktober 2013 begonnene fotografische Kunstprojekt Transforming legt das materielle Erbe der rund 3.000 Zwangsarbeitslager, die sich zwischen 1939 und 1945 in Berlin und Brandenburg befanden, offen. Es wendet sich der Frage zu, welche Transformation öffentliche und urbane Räume durch Geschichte erfahren. Basierend auf den Forschungen des deutschen Historikers Rainer Kubatzki dokumentiert Hadas Tapouchi die vormaligen Standorte der Lager und erstellt damit eine historische Topografie der Stadt Berlin.

Die 1981 in Israel geborene Künstlerin Hadas Tapouchi lebt und arbeitet seit April 2013 in Berlin. Sie nahm zuletzt an Gruppenausstellungen im Jüdischen Museum Berlin und dem International Photography Festival in Rhison Lezion (Tel Aviv/Israel) teil. Daneben publizierte sie ihre Fotografien u.a. im Stern. Transforming ist ihre erste Einzelausstellung.

Transforming is a photographic art project, which exposes the legacy of approximately three thousand forced labor camps spread over Berlin and Brandenburg during the Nazi-Regime. More generally speaking the project sheds a light on the transformation of public and urban space throughout history. Transforming was started in October 2013. Based on research of the German historian Rainer Kubatzki, Hadas Tapouchi documents former labor camp-sites and thereby produces a historical topography of Berlin.

Israeli artist Hadas Tapouchi, born 1981, lives and works in Berlin since April 2013. Recently, she took part in group exhibitions at the Jewish Museum Berlin and at the International Photography Festival in Rhison Lezion (Tel Aviv/Israel). Additionally, she published her photographs in the German news magazine Stern, among others. Transforming is her first solo show.
